Gamify Social and Emotional Learning and Have Fun with Your Kids. (link below)

Winter break is fast approaching, and with it comes the chance to bond, reflect, and grow as a family. To make this time even more fun, I’ve created two Bingo cards focused on building essential skills: Emotions and Cooperation.

An Alternative for Teens is Included Below:
If you have older kids or teens who may not be as interested in the traditional Bingo game, don't worry! I've included an alternative version for them further down.

.

🌟  Emotions Challenge Bingo – Perfect for exploring feelings and developing emotional expression.

🌟 Cooperation Challenge Bingo – Designed to foster teamwork, problem-solving, and positive communication among family or friends.

  • Pick your Bingo card – Choose the Emotions or Cooperation Bingo, or use them both for extra fun! Siblings can work together on one card or each can have a hard.

  • Complete the challenges – Mark off tasks as your family works through the activities over winter break. Parents need make sure quality of the work or interactions are good enough to mark off as done. Let the kids know this ahead of time.

  • Celebrate the results – Share your experiences and challenges! It’s a great opportunity for meaningful family time and growth.

  • (optional but recommended) Set rewards ahead of time for meeting their challenges.

For Teens or Older Kids Who Might Not Be Into the Bingo Game:
If your teen isn't keen on the traditional Bingo format, here’s an alternative. You can cut out individual squares from the Bingo cards and place them in a jar. Periodically, pull out a square to encourage a conversation or activity around that square’s theme. This way, the learning and growth happen in smaller, more organic ways, without the pressure of completing a full game.

Why you and your child keep getting stuck
Sometimes it’s not just your child. And it’s not just you either. It’s the dynamic between the two of you. You might notice moments like this: You keep asking your child to do something…and they keep resisting. The more you push, the more they push back or freeze. It can be so frustrating, like nothing is working. In moments like that, it’s easy to focus on: 👉 “Why won’t my child just do t...
When Summer Builds Real-Life Skills
As you start mapping out camps, vacations, and childcare, this is also the perfect time to intentionally build a few real-life skills into your summer rhythm. I want to share something I did when my kids were younger. I picked two weeks each summer and called it “Mommy Camp”. This did not necessarily mean I took two weeks off work.Sometimes I was working. Sometimes I wasn’t.What changed was my ...
Is Spring Affecting Your Child’s Mood and Friendships?
Around this time of year, some parents start noticing small changes in their children. Bedtime becomes harder. Emotions can feel unpredictable. Friendships can feel a little more complicated. Energy is up and down.  And sometimes the explanation is seasonal. Spring brings several changes that can affect children’s nervous system, which in turn affects how they function socially. 1. Sleep sh...
